New owner here. I tried the solar function yesterday on the latest firmware. Seestar can find and track the sun. Here's what I'm planning, but I'm not sure it's the best way:
- Start a timelapse on 1s setting just before the eclipse starts
- A couple of minutes before totality stop the timelapse and start video recording
- at the start of totality remove the solar filter
- put the filter back right before the totality ends
- stop the video and start a timelapse again until the end of the eclipse
Does it make sense? I will edit it all later into a single video. Did I miss anything? Or should I just record a 3 hour video - not even sure there's enough storage for that... I will speed it up for a timelapse anyway... Are there any relevant settings I need to check? The weather in Ontario is not cooperating and it will be cloudy, so hoping for a miracle.
Also will have a mirrorless camera on a tripod to snap a few photos of totality. What should be the best settings in terms of ISO, shutter and aperture for totality?
