"Capture failed" in Firecapture for ASI120MM

Hi all,

I'm new to this Forum and perhaps someone already came up with the solution, but for now I just can't find an answer.

My ASI120MM camera receives the "capture failed" error on my laptop, in Firecapture. Other useful software all have problems in previewing the images. SharpCap 2 shows missing frames and no preview.

I've used for an year or more the camera with the same laptop and Firecapture 2 and had no prombles. Now it seems that after re installing Win 7 on the laptop it doesn't work anymore.

It's strange that on another two desktops I have the same problems.

Test PCs: HP ProBook 4530s, and two i3 desktops, all with Win 7 x64 SP1. All drivers work correctly. Firmware update to "3" was done.

My problem seems to be the Win itself, but I don't actually see how.

I've attached the Firecapture and Sharpcap screenshots.

Please tell me there is someone else that encountered this problem and solved it...

try to install the MS C++ 2008 redistibutable package and try again

you can try to adjust the "usb traffic" to lowest value 40 or small resolution like 320X240 to see if any image comes

@skywatcher: it was installed and re-installed, with no effect.

@sam: same deal: I've tried the usb traffic settings and no change. It starts with the "capture failed" message from the very beginning of the program.

I wonder if I can find the older drivers anywhere, and also the older Firecapture 2.2 software, as I used to have before re-installing the Win.

Sam: can you please send me the older driver for the camera?

I would like to try re-installing the camera with the old driver and software. And also, is it possible to "downgrade" the Firmware version ?
