In Solar and Lunar observing there is the possibility to have “ROI” settings of 1x, 2x and 4x. However, in 2x the sun and moon don’t completely fit in the FOV, let alone in 4x.
What I would like is to have a custom ROI for which I can specify the size, for instance 1000x1000 pixel, so 1) the sun or moon fits and 2) not the entire sensor is used. This would mean that the FPS can increase making better use of time and also, because of the smaller images in the video, decrease processing time.
Can the ZWO developers please consider adding this to SeeStar? Many thanks in advance.
