Hello everybody. I have just received the last week my ZWO ASI120MC-S camera and I´m having troubles to get the theorical 60FPS that this camera must give . My new desktop computer has the next features:
Windows 7 ultimate version SP1 x64
Motherboard GIGABYTE G1 Sniper Z97 chipset 1150
16 gigabytes ram memory
Intel core I7 4770 3.4 GHZ
SSD hard drive
I loaded FireCapture 2.4 and upgraded it to 2.4.06 Beta
I loaded the drivers for the ASI120MC-S camera from ZWO site (v 1.1)
• At USB3 the camera gives 26FPS at default 1280x960 pixels
• At USB3 the camera gives 35FPS at ROI 1280x960 pixels
• At USB3 the camera gives 106FPS at ROI 680X480 pixels
• At USB2 the camera only gives 20FPS at default 1280x960 pixels
• My Skyris 618C USB3 camera gives me 120 FPS on the same Computer
On the device manager and Universal Series Controller I have the next features:
Intel (R) 9 series chipset family USB ENHANCED HOST CONTROLLER 8CA6
Intel (R) 9 series chipset family USB ENHANCED HOST CONTROLLER 8CAD
Intel (R) USB 3.0 eXtensible Host Controller ( v 3.0.0.16 12/2/2014)
Intel (R) USB 3.0 Root Hub ( v 3.0.0.16 12/2/2014)
Is there something that I can do to get the 60FPS of the camera?
Should I add an PCIe Card like the USB 3 Renesas card?
Thank you everybody in advance...
Best Regards from Mexico City
