ASIAIR guiding without main camera
Hoping someone can help me out with best practice for using an unsupported camera with the ASIAIR. I bought an ASIAIR and guide scope/camera to use with my R8 camera and Star Adventurer GTi, only to realize the R8 isn’t supported by the ASIAIR.
What is the best setup with what I have? Would I use the ASIAIR for guiding, and then take exposures via the SynScan Pro app with the intervalometer cable connected to the Star Adventurer? Can I use the guide camera to polar align and star align, and then snap away with the R8? Is there something I’m missing here that would make that impossible?
