Hi, I only do visual with am5
.My telescope is SW mak150mm
.I use Asiair mini, sv bony guidescope (but there is no guiding in my procedure, You only need some small 40-60mm miniscope) and asi 174mini camera connected with this small guidescope.
.I set up am 5 in equatorial mode -more convinient for me when it comes to move whole set up from home to balcony. Also more convinient to observe, (south side of the sky)
.Camera is connected with Asiair, Asiair is connected with am5. Am5 powers Asiair
.True setup is: am5-guidescope-asi17mini camera.
- I did "all sky polar aligment" in the Asiair app and marked points where are legs of the tripod on balcony.
.I run the Asiair app on phone. 174mini is main camera. Guidescope is "main telescope". Now I can find, centere and track the objects (via Asiair app).
.Earlier, during the day I synchronized my mak telescope (with large magnification) with view from camera and guidescope. I pointed some distant tree, looked through eyepiece, run Asiair app and center the guidescope to have perfect match. Screws on guidescope allow to do that.
.Thanks to Asiair app I can choose any object, find it and track. "By the way" I can observe an object through my main telescope because I synchronized what You can see though it with picture from camera
