For those using the Celestron AVX mount, the ASIAIR software update will again affect the syncing of the mount. This time, instead of connecting the ASIAIR software prior to beginning alignment (ZWO suggested Celestron's QuickAlign) the procedure is to follow through with alignment on the hand controller and then connect ASIAIR afterwards. The alignment can be anything you choose (Two-Star Alignment, QuickAlign, etc.) and optionally follow with Celestron's ASPA polar alignment - upto any amount of iterations. You will always need to wait after you turn the mount ON before plugging the USB serial cable between the hand controller and the ASIAIR control box.
The new procedure needed for syncing may be intended as a convenience, but since the procedure changes whenever ASIAIr is updated, it can only be left to question.
