ASI676MC is IR sensitive yet shipped with IR protective window, why?

Why is the ASI676MC IR sensitive yet shipped with IR protective window? If this camera is "...significantly enhanced sensitivity in the near-infrared spectrum" yet shipped with "IR-Cut Coated Window... that reduces infrared interference". So can we take IR images with this camera or is it shipped with a permanent window that prevents IR picture?

Chen, tell me please, why was ASI676MC being positioned as all-sky camera? Can't it be useful as EAA camera? As planetary? As lucky deepsky?
And other question, about asi676mm (mono version). Will you develop it?

I am also hoping for an imx676 mono version. The mon o imx676 sensor exists, but no (astro) camera using it.

It has the better sensor format for me than the imx678. For planets and for full disk sund and moon a 1:1 format is much better than a wide format.
