Fan on 183mc Pro startled to rattle, the whole telescope tube was vibrating. I removed the fan, put the silicon buffer between the fan and the back plate, put everything together, powered it up, and, puff, there was a little smoke and the fan didn't turn. Apparently, somehow I burned the fan.
I ordered the ZWO replacement fan from Agena Astro, Sunon model as before, with the new connecting cable, Put everything together and the fan does not turn when powered up.
The camera connects fine and takes images. I played with temperature control on and off, and by changing the set point. The cooling power goes up, but the fan does not turn.
Is it possible that I burned not just the original fan but also its controller on board? How do we fix that? Or is there something else to try?
