I am constantly experiencing a much better tracking of objects close to the celestial North Pole, easily achieving 20 and even 30s shots with few dropped frames for azimut values of 300 degrees and more.
On the other hand already at 270 degrees (and even more when moving towards South), even limiting exposures at 10 seconds, I get many dropped frames and I need to center again the target multiple times.
What I am asking is if this difference is due to the lower apparent speed of object near the celestial North Pole, or rather because of some software or mechanical issue.
I am also interested to know if other users are experiencing the same behavior.
I usually take my images from a place 45N 7E, if this may be helpful.
