oecheverri I'm wondering whether the protective window on the 2600MC Pro is just A/R coated, or whether it also has a UV/IR cut filter built into it?
ZWO claims it is IR/UV cut.
But my tests with their "D60 IR-Cut Window" (used in their 2600C, among others) showed very ineffective UV cut. It hardly even attenuates 395nm, and this causes the blue bloat you see around stars if your OTA is not "APO" enough.
I will be doing some measurements of a dozen or so filters to see how they behave in the UV/IR parts of the spectrum. Keep your eyes open in the coming week or two for a posting on it. I think it will convince you that you always need a UV/IR cut filter when you use a ZWO camera. ZWO's UV/IR cut filter also performed very poorly.
Preliminary measurements show the Optolong filters (L-Pro, L-En, L-Ult, etc), however poor they are for their primary purpose, to actually be very effective in cutting out both UV and IR.
