Hi all. I need some help.
I've been trying to use ASI Studio and the Deep Sky Stacking component to stack a bunch of images. The images load after I drag and drop them from a USBc stick. I hit the Stack button and get the error message that there's insufficient disk space to stack.
How much disk space does one need?
I tried it on a couple of different laptops, one with 1.8tb spare disk space which I figured would do the trick. Or am I barking up the wrong tree entirely?
I know the software works as I've stacked plenty of smaller sets of subs taken with the same camera.
I've been trying shorter subs with the fairly high level of light pollution I get at home. The results seem to be working well but it's a whole lot of subs once you start getting the 10-20 hours worth that I'm aiming for.
If it's simply a matter of throwing a 4tb storage disk in my main laptop I can justify the expense. Although, it would be an expensive and unnecessary expense if that wasn't the solution.
