I hope this message finds you well. I'm writing to ask you a technical question about my ASI294MC camera.
Last April and i replaced my old camera's sensor (V 1.0) with a new one (V 3.0) because malfunctioning. After that process, image capture was pretty normal, being confirmed during the last new moon. However, I noticed that camera's cooling is not functioning optimally.
When I try to create a dark library using ASICAP, ASIAIR, etc., I see that the camera's doesn't decrease enough, even though the setting is configured to -10°C or -20°C. For example, despite being set to capture darks at -20°C, the camera doesn't achive that temperature. Also, if -10°C is set, camera operates at -4.7°C or even slightly less. I disassembled the entire camera, reassembled it, and saw some improvement in cooling, but it still doesn't reach the optimal temperature.
I'm starting to think that replacing the cooler fan could be also necessary . Additionally: Does the ASI294MC sensor also works with thermal paste in order to dissipate the temperature?
