Hi there,
I’m fairly new to astrophotography, so excuse me for the question. I’m wondering which camera is best for my rokinon 135mm lens? I’m looking for the 585mc pro or the 533mc pro. Can you please give me some advice?
Yours sincerely Erik
EBroxks get the 533 as it has a much larger FWC that will not get oversaturated at longer than 120s exposures. I have the 533, 585 and 2600 and the 585 is not a good match for my Rokinon 135 at f2.8 where it is best set. I only use my 585mc pro on very dim targets with my slower Esprit 100ED.
Kevin_A Thanks so much. This is extremely helpful! My only lens is a 135mm. Maybe I will upgrade in the future but for now I’m still learning. I noticed that a smaller lens with a larger fov is more forgiving.
EBroxks yes it is, however you will also not notice the effects of any tilt with a smaller sensor. Smaller lenses are more forgiving when it comes to guiding due to less resolution but may show more tilt if you pixel peep.
