FYI: ZWO has increased the default sensor offset of the ASI585 from 3 ADU to 15 ADU in latest ASIStudio update.
This should allow the camera to achieve the SNR improvement when stacking subframes that is more normal. The 3 ADU offset was earlier clipping at the low end with HCG type gains. The ASI585 may be a usable camera now when using ASIstudio.
As of ASIAIR Beta version 2.2, build 51 that came out early August, the sensor offset is still defaulted to 3 ADU (by checking the offset value in the FITS header).
