This is my first posting to this group. I have just received the ASI174MM camera. It has been cloudy here since I received the camera but today there were some breaks in the cloud and I was able to take a couple of images. There were no problems with Newtons ring or the loading of Firecapture software although I have not figured out how to get the Gamma slider to work but when I select "Brighten" it works well, so some help here would be useful.
I have attached an image processed in different ways. The equipment used; WO 98mm refractor+DS SM70 External Etalons+BF30+ASI174mm. In the two test runs I was able to get 125 fps in 8-bit mode and 66 fps in 16-bit mode.
Once I figure out how to get the gamma slider to work in Firecapture I'll image some closeup solar images in Ha.
