A follow up from this morning.
With app 1.18, the location information was read from the tablet, the compass calibration completed as it normally did with three or so revolutions of the scope, and the unit was adjusted to be level.
Jupiter was the target and the scope correctly moved and pointed to it, in the manner it did prior to the upgrade. The screen switched to the live view and I had a nice, out of focus, Jupiter. I hit the autofocus and it really didn't improve the image. I manually adjusted the focus and had a mostly clear view of the planet, just a little haze in the sky this morning. I went to 4x mode, took a couple of pictures then wanted to check a setting for the anti-dew feature. When I came back to the live image mode, I got the spinning "waiting" box in the middle of the screen and couldn't exit this screen with any method except by closing the app. Restarting the app and going back to the planetary view mode, the spinning "waiting" box was again present on the screen with no way to exit except by closing the app. I can certainly understand there could be an issue with app v1.18 working correctly with firmware v2.95.
Tech support responded again, this time requesting a log file, which will come from app v2.0.0. I'll advise the outcome of that.
