I am testing a set up for wide field imaging when I go to New Zealand in October and November.
Using the ASIAIR mini to control a Skywatcher Star Adventurer and connecting a Canon 650D.
That is all working, but I still have a question. I can see my 650D in the ASIAIR camera menu and it is selectable,
I have a snap cable too if I was ant to control the shutter on the 650D. However the ASIAIR has a field for the focal length of the 'main scope' Should I fill this with the focal length of the camera lens I am using or just ignore it?
As for polar aligning I will using a mini guide scope with an ASI 120MM camera I also have and first set that as the main scope for the polar align sequence, then just make it the guide scope in the menu. Can anyone see any issues with that idea?
