Hello, i do astrophotography for about 3 years now, so I got the Seestar last year December. It's been ok, but only ok not good.
I took some images, but even 1 hour livestacking takes about 3-4 hours, because I constantly have to re-slew to the target.
I'm aware of the advanced options and how to level the unit and how to calibrate the GPS.
As I said, I'm not new to it and I checked the forums, facebook and this page many times to find a cure to the issue and I was so far unable to.
So here is what I have observed.
When I slew to a target, it's always off. i know my coordinates are right- if you gonna ask me about it, Seestar always looking for the target at the wrong part of the sky when I begin.
Once it finds it, then it's ok and i can see it can able to track without any serious tracking issue.
BUT
When I click to live stack, it just gives up. I can clearly see star trails right away, like activating the camera to record causes to lose tracking? How are those even related? And yet that's what happens. As soon as I want to image, it is no longer able to track the target. I mean sometimes it does, that's how I end up with 1 hour image in 3 hours and so on. That's just a bad rate, I mean if I just want a 5 minute image, that means I will need 15 minutes or more if I have to re-slew, because it has gone off too far from the target.
Anyone knows what's going on?
