AM5N with pretty long optical tube (in my case a Newton)

Hi all,

I would like to use the AM5N mount with a Newton 250/1000. The total length of the optical tube is 104cm. It weights 16.5kg with the optical train and the ASIAir pro. With such a set-up, a counterweight of 5 kg and PE200 extension are for sure required.

I'm looking for people who are experienced with that kind of setup or something close to it.

One of my concern is the maximum distance of the optical tube at the back of the mount sadle to avoid any issue with the tripod tubes.
It would be great as well to get some details on how to test such a setup to confirm that everything is alright. What are the extreme position to test ?

I found this in the AM5 manual about the counterwight balancing.

My EdgeHD 925 with filter and camera weighs 15Kg, lenght 80cm fits well with the PE200 pier extension on the AM5. No problem if I move the tube forward as much as possible.
