Hi, with LXD75 Autostar mount, when I do the PA procedure, the mount rotates by much more than 60 deg. Maybe a bit more than 90 deg. Everything seems to work fine, but I was wondering if the mount is actually properly Polar Aligned, even though the alignment angle is not the stated 60 degrees. Anyone else have this issue? Any thoughts?

Thanks!

krishkal I'm assuming you have your tripod, mount, etc setup in the correct physical Home position and pointing to True North/South (depending on hemisphere) before your even turned on the ASIAIR and before starting Polar Alignment?

Did you move your mount by unlocking clutches or anything after powering on the ASIAIR but before doing a Polar Alignment?

Once you turn on the ASIAIR and connect your mount you should really only use the mount controls in the ASIAIR App.

Sorry, did not see that you had replied, till now! Yes, I only let the ASIAir do the rotation without loosening the clutch, so that's not the issue. This issue has not resolved.

Lately, I have started doing the PA without turning on the mount, so I manually rotate the mount loosening the clutch during the PA procedure. Once everything is properly aligned, I return mount to home position, then turn it on so ASIAir can sense it, and go from there. This is the only thing that works.
