New ASI-user

Hi, just received my ASI120MC-S, and I'm very excited to start sloooowly advancing towards astro photography. Got a mediocre rig to start out with, upgrade is planned for next year or so when I got the basics down.

I still need a new USB 3.0 capable laptop with Extensible USB 3.0 host controller, it's my understanding it has to be with that particular controller to work.

You use the controller that your system has/uses. It doesn't have to be one specific - it depends on your hardware.

On the hardware side I'm thinking no less than i5, around 2 GHz, 8 gigz of RAM, and a quality screen.

its not so fast compare with ASI174
