ASIStudio V1.12.1_x64 Broken?

Hello,

I downloaded and executed ASIStudio_V1.12.1_x64_Setup.exe on my fully-updated, Microsoft Windows 10 computer. Installation appeared to be successful. When running ASIStudio, however, clicking on any of the buttons to launch any of the apps (e.g., ASIImg) has no discernable effect. In fact, clicking on any ASIStudio widget (e.g., gear icon) does nothing.

Uninstalling ASIStudio, redownloading and reinstalling resulted in no change.

ASIStudio_V1.12.0 was previously running nominally on this computer.

Has anyone else experienced this behavior?

Where can I get the ASIStudio_V1.12.0 installer so I can return to a working application?

Hi, I am very sorry, I tested the Windows10 system computer can run V1.12.1 normally. Perhaps you can uninstall ASIStudio completely and try a new installation.

support Thanks for your quick response and thanks for the V1.12.0 upload. I installed V1.12.0 and that works fine (as it originally did).

I did try a second download (from https://www.zwoastro.com/software) of V1.12.1 and a clean reinstall, before my initial post, so I did not try a third time. I do suspect V1.12.1 has an issue - at least on Microsoft Windows 10 64-bit.

Reinstalled old version as above and that works fine!

TrackerTony That is my experience also. V1.12.0 works fine; V1.12.1 appears to install fine but launching it produces a window where button clicks are ignored so none of the apps (e.g., ASIImg) can be started.

Sorry for the trouble, we tried to reproduce the problem and fix it, but even we tested it many times it still works fine.
Would you update to the V1.12.1 and reproduce the problem, and then we can check it remotely to fix it? thank you.

I started V1.12.0 and let it detect availability of V1.12.1 which I allowed to be automatically installed. The installation appeared to proceed normally. When V1.12.1 started, the previously-reported issues still exist - no surprise there. So, I now have an unusable V1.12.1 on my Microsoft Windows 10 computer.

What is the next step?

Hi @jimv and @TrackerTony , thank you for your feedback and we are very sorry that this problem has caused you trouble. In the past two weeks, we have been trying to reproduce this problem with various different computers, different operating systems and different display resolutions, but we have never been able to reproduce this problem. We are very eager to solve this problem, but unfortunately we do not know what causes this problem yet. Would you like us to remotely check this problem through TeamView? We appreciate your help.

Hi I have same issue with version 12.1.1, The issue from what I can see is the the initial screen has 2 borders, one is offset to the other, so the buttons to click are out of position, if you move cursor to he top of the button, it will open, ! think it a graphic issue

Bessant Yes, we located the problem, and found it is related on dual graphics card, change the default graphics processor of ASIStudio to discrete graphics card will solve this problem.

Great thanks, I changed graphics setting from 'let windows decide' to 'high performance' Nvidia , reloaded Studio and perfect no double offset outline and buttons for applications, settings, exit etc. are all aligned
