Hara Your quality level doesn't just now allow enlangening the portfolio at all. First organise automated testing and automated tests maintenance, then organise the making and documenting the new features testing for delivery and allocate enough resources for all mentioned test phases.

I had suggested regression testing before releasing software to them a couple of years ago, and they had never even heard of the term!

I suspect they are still not doing regression tests. The company needs adult supervision by professionals.

I have suspected that they do not follow any proven best practises production model. I have met such teams before and symptoms have been very similar than here. Obviously they do not have documented test cases for new features and stories and they do not check old, unchanged ones healt with similar test cases done when those features had been released first time (and updated if needed). You can diminish needed time for testing and thus make release sooner and more secure way by automating those regression tests. But all this need a test policy and test plan and skilled people and other resources. If they do not know what is regression test, first thing to do is hire a seasoned test manager to organise all that.

Also, where would the antenna be. Many customers have range issues. An antenna down loe, on the mount, would likely limit range

Maybe for the limited users who tavel or need a grab and go setup. The down side is if the ASIAIR fails due to firmware or other issues you are now out a mount and a ASIAIR device.

Please stop releasing new products here and there, and fix softwares/firmwares of your existing products.

I'm a AM5N owning / operator.

I'm not sure if that's a good idea, I use my mount via ASCOM with CDC as the planetary software and SharpCap for the capture software. I'm not a big fan of the lack of functionality with ASIair when compared to SC or NINA. I would rather not pay for a device I would likely not use.

Why dont we focus instead on getting a feature rich ASI air? There is a comically massive list of requests and you’re only only reply is we will take it into consideration. Nothing is ever done. The Indy drivers for example, for astrophysics mounts are completely outdated and they don’t work properly with a $10,000 mount.
