Once again the seestar froze, locked up so that I was unable to access to the storage disk requiring that the disk be FORMATTED first, I did and I lost everything on the disk from last nights session, however, I do have a JPG saved on my Tablet and not able to do Post Processing.
I have my tablet by my side and pay close attention to the Seestar's progress and activity. I observe the photo image on screen and noted the photo timer logging the seconds between each photo, so I assumed the seestar was working. I didn't see any problem until I went outside to bring in the scope for the night. The APP was on and timer logging the seconds indicating that it was still recording photo's, however, the Seesaw was in the horizontal parked position. There was no way for me to know that there was a problem.
This is twice now that I have lost everything and its really disappointing to learn just that. Because this is the second time this has happened, I believe that the cause is possibly do to the seestar's storage disk became overloaded, went into a safe mode and shut its self down and somehow closed the gate and not allowing access to the files. I understand there are limits to amount space a storage disk, and I understand that digital imagery whether a photo or video use a large amount of available disk space. There should be some type of warning to indicate the disk volume limits avoid the Seestar crashing and loosing all data collected. There's an battery charge indicator.
Here's is how I closed my Astro session.
After attaching the cable to the Seestar and laptop, I got a popup that read "D:\ is not accessible. Parameter is incorrect. I went to the D drive and clicked on it, I got another popup stating that I needed to format the disk. Like I said, this has happened twice now, and I had to choice but to format the disk, You want to know how upsetting it was having to format the disk and loose everything I did all night. After staying awake all night.
