If you're using the Stargazing app with it you can simply slew to a target, centre it in the eyepiece then sync. That should get you closer to gotos.
An alternative method I can think of and have used in the past in equatorial, use a compass with a declination scale on it and point the mount to true north/south (true N/S not the magnetic poles a compass needle points to), then use a digital inclinometer as the mount has a flat face to put it onto to set your altitude based on your latitude.
