I’m having trouble with meridian flips on my EQ6 mount, where the scope frequently gets trapped under the tripod legs. Even after investing in a pier extension, the issue still persists.
I know the AsiAir has a “Stop tracking x min before” setting, which I’ve left at the default. I’d appreciate any advice on the optimal time setting to prevent this problem. I’d rather have the mount stop tracking 30 minutes early and ensure a safe flip than wake up to a trapped scope and lose hours of imaging.
I’ve attached logs for both the AsiAir Plus (EQ6) and AsiAir Mini (SA GTI) in case they provide insight into the current behavior. I understand this isn’t specifically an AsiAir issue but more about fine-tuning the settings.
Any suggestions or recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
