Hi' Apologies for the late post, as requested here are the details for the RGB files, incidentally..the seeing was good when I captured this series of AVI's, the capture software was Firecapture 2.4 Beta, AVI crops using Castrator, align and stacking Autostakkert II and finally wavelets, auto colour balance and histogram stretch applied in Registax v6, this was the only software which I used, no Adobe photoshop (or the likes) as there was no need to and I don't use it on my planetary images anyway, in my opinion if the seeing is good, the camera settings are correct, the collimation is correctly done, you will - or should capture good data, subsequently the result is a lot easier to come by, if I had to resort to using adobe photoshop or whatever to obtain a good image - then I simply wouldn't bother, it's very rare you obtain good seeing - more so in the Northern latitudes of the UK but when it is good - timing is critical, is the elevation optimum,wind speed minimum,dew point,lot's of factors come in to play, BUT: collimation, seeing, focus, and camera settings are paramount : )
