I need a camera for live viewing of mostly the planets and have seen some great video footage from the ASI120MC camera.
Can the ASI174MC do live viewing and would it be better at this than the 120MC.
I will also do a bit of astrophotography too.
Not really. The key advantage of IMX174 is advanced astrophotography. Single frames will be similar, especially from color cameras.
I think ASI174 is better for DSO live view because of its larger pixel size
