Hello!
On 24th March we took first attempt to make a full lunar mosaic with the ASI 174 in the prime focus of our 360 mm Klevtsov-Cassegrain (1/16). The filming process took only half an hour ( 20 videos with 4000 frames in each one). With our previous lunar camera (Unibrain Fire-i 702 with max. 20 fps at full resolution) it would take four times longer. The seeing was not very stable, so we decided to resize the final image a little bit (90% of original size). Here is the result.
Best regards, Mikhail.
that's super!
Beautiful mosaic Mikhail.
I've never heard of a Santel Klevsov before, and certainly not of any Klevsov of 360mm aperture.
I'd be interested in knowing more about this instrument.
