Last night I tried some deep sky imaging with my ASI120MM. Before when I've done this I've used FireCapture but this time I wanted to use software that was better designed for deep sky. :)
I had some problems with the ASCOM driver (v1.0.1.4). I could capture a few frames (sometimes over 100 but typically about 70-80) and then the software would lockup while downloading the image from the camera. I was using 10sec exposures as I was not guiding. I tried both APT and Nebulosity, they both had the same problem. Initially I had USB traffic at 80% but tried dropping this to 40%, but that made no difference. :(
The cables and everything else were fine as I had used them for imaging the Sun and Jupiter eariler this week. So the only conclusion that I can come too is that there is a problem with the drivers. Earlier yesterday I had updated all by drivers from the website so I was using ASCOM v1.0.1.4 and camera drivers v2.4.3.20. :?:
