The ASI174mm will only connect to my MacBookPro late model with USB3 ports as a USB 2 device. I also experience the same on a late model Lenovo laptop with USB3.0 ports. I am plugging in directly with the supplied 2meter cable. I've used the latest drivers.
Any help with getting these computers to recognize the camera as a USB3 device would be appreciated.

did you use it successfully as USB3.0 device before?
usually a host usb3.0 controller driver update can solve this problem
you can also try another usb3.0 cable
I have never gotten it to connect as USB3.0
Both computers have the latest USB3.0 updates.
No I haven't tried another USB3.0 cable.
I suggest you can try another cable
you can ask our dealer for help if you don't have another such cable
