Linux SDK v.0.1.320 : Tar ball contains incomplete file set

Hiho,

I had been looking forward to incorporating an ASI 120 into my setup. So, I downloaded the current version of the Linux SDK, and I am getting rather frustrated, to say the least:

I just tried building the demo examples and I stumbled over the following difficluties:

1) The make target test_gui in the demo directory references a file called main.cpp, which is in this directory

2) The Makefile has definitions for a usb library to be found in ../libusb, as seen from the demo directory. There is no such directory in the tar ball.

3) The pre-built executables you have provided in the demo/bin directory, do, of course, not work at all on a 64bit system.

In short: Could you please post a usable version?

you need to install libusb and change the link parth to make the SDK works

because libusb is a open source project, most users would like to download and build themselves

anyway, we will take your suggesture and add a compiled one to our SDK

its more easy for you to test

otherwise you need to wait the release of next version

Hi Sam,

thank you very much for the quick answer!

I had a libusb-0.1.0.1 installed (it came with ubuntu 14.04LTS): this version does not work and leads to a linker error.

Installing the current version (libusb-0.1.0.9) from the libusb website http://www.libusb.org remedies this problem.

The "test_console" target seems to work in so far as the camera is recognized and the program does not crash when reading from it (I have not tested what the data collected from the cam actually look like as images).

Unfortunately, the file main.cpp needed by the target test_gui is still missing from your tarball, though.
