I use an ASUS G550 jk .It is built for gaming so it has lots of processing chops . i7-4710hq chip .quad core . up to 32 gigs ram , plus it has the added benefit of a redlight backlit keyboard for keeping the night vision . 3x 3.0 usb , hdmi port for viewing directly to a hdtv if you care to and a mini video that can also go to dvi -d to run to 220 hz moniters for for full shutter type 3D with proper equipment .
This laptop can process large files quickly without a hiccup .My model has a 7200 hd but I use an external ssd for high speed capture thru a 3.0 usb so I get the fastest possible frame rates .
This lappy is around 1200-1400 dollars us . It is a fine machine for this price range .
I think maybe Lenovo also offers similar products in a similar price range .
One thing I would recommend is looking at pc's that are already built for gaming , because you are also getting extreme video processing power in the package .
