I have 2 Seestar S50's and love them. I usually set up at home and connect my ipad and the S50 via Station Mode and it works well. Other times, I go out to a dark sky site and connect directly to the S50 using its internal wifi. No problem because I am in range of wifi signal for location that the S50 needs. My problem is that my ipad that I use to control the S50 is wifi only and has no gps. If I go out to a really dark site, there is no wifi signal to give the S50 location info so my ipad won't connect. I bought a Garmin portable wifi receiver and thought that if I connected my ipad to the Garmin via bluetooth, it would give the S50 location info. Would this work?
