Dear ZWO Team,
I'd like to suggest integrating an electronic auto focus motor (EAF) with a flat panel light (FPL) control system. This would enable automated opening and closing of the FPL door (3D printed to use your EAF stepper motor), making imaging sessions more efficient and convenient.
Key Features:
- EAF-based Automatic Door Control: Utilize the EAF's to automatically open or close the FPL door based on set values (open and closed positions).
- Collision Detection: If the EAF encounters an obstacle, it would stop the door from moving further, preventing damage.
- Integration with Output Channels: Leverage the existing output channel control system to adjust lighting panel brightness as a percentage of voltage.
- Software Integration: Add an option in your software to switch output channels and EAF to being in FPL mode
Benefits:
Calibration and Automation: In autorun planning mode, by selecting flats the system could close the FPL door turn on the flats lighting panel. Then a calibrate run to set the camera timing and brightness of the panel. Once calibrated, a series of images would be taken. The light turned off, and the door opened again for imaging.
Making the process more efficient.
