Hi !

Just got my ZWOAS120MC today and been trying to get it to work on my Linux, no luck so far. Followed the instructions to install oaCapture, said its installed but cant see it or how to start it.

I have tested it out set it up on my Win7 PC with firecapture, and appears to work fine just have to learn to use it and fine tune it. But I need it to run on my laptop for outside use :)

Check dmesg after connecting the camera. Some older firmware may be Linux incompatible or something alike.

Haven't tried the camera , its the Software trying to get going. No point when no software to run it

I did plug it in to see what would happen;

usb 1-6: new high-speed USB device number 6 using ehci-pci

usb 1-6: config 1 interface 0 altsetting 0 bulk endpoint 0x82 has invalid maxpacket 1024

usb 1-6: New USB device found, idVendor=03c3, idProduct=120b

usb 1-6: New USB device strings: Mfr=1, Product=2, SerialNumber=3

usb 1-6: Product: ASI120MC

usb 1-6: Manufacturer: ZWOptical company

usb 1-6: SerialNumber: 00000

Other then oacapture, dont know what software to try.
