Hello all! just here looking for abit of support. Purchased a ASI 294MC pro used a few months ago, and has been amazing so far with my newtonians! however ive recently just got a Redcat 51, my first serious refractor instead of a newt, and immedietely noticed something interesting on stars which was never there with my newtonians. These star patterns, doesnt need to even be particularly bright stars, just happens. Im under the impression of microlensing currently
It seems to only occur when shooting broadband (ZWO UV/IR cut) as when shooting in narrowband, it did not occur at all. Any advice would be appreciated!
