ASI224MC UV or UV/IR Filter

Does the ASI224MC require an IR or UV/IR filter and why? :?:

Usually "IR-cut" filters also cut UV, but don't mention that. For correct color balance you need to block IR and UV.

I found out that even when using an Ha scope (PST in my case) you still need an IR filter. I guess the PST etalon gets warm enough that it radiates lots of IR towards the sensor. It smears the image, no hope of focusing on the Ha details.

So yes, you need an IR filter unless you purposely want to image IR signals of course.
