I am usually able to get PHD to connect to the ZWO ASI120MM. Sometimes, I am able to loop an image to get stars to show up on the screen. Sometimes the shutter will not close from this point. When it does work and I begin the guiding procedure, either it doesn't get through the E, W, N, S setup and I cannot stop the action without Control, Alt, Delete and restarting or it begins guiding and then stops a couple minutes in. It works fine on an XP laptop, but on my Windows 8.1 laptop with Ascom 6.1 and all most the recent software and drivers from the ZWO site and running through either Windows 8, Windows 7 or XP Service Pack 3 compatibility mode, it will not work properly. I have removed all the software and drivers and have gone step by step through the actions listed on the site and it doesn't work. When I launch PHD, I select ASCOM, then connect camera, WDM Style webcamera, 120ASIMM, 640x480, connect telescope, ok, On-Camera, connect camera, ASCOM (late), connect telescope. All of my other ASCOM 6 based astronomy cameras work with their intended programs (ex. QSI 583ws with Nebulosity). What's going on?
