I just purchased a new ASI676MC camera and am trying to run on my 4 year old i3 laptop with 6GB ram and 2core with only usb2. I can get the software to start the camera (I have the all sky lens connected) but when I go to capture it won't capture any images. It will give me an image and I can get frames per second, etc., but no capture on old WD 1 terabyte external drive nor on the computer internal C drive. I see elsewhere where I should have a minimum i5 modern processor with 8GB ram and at least a SATA 512 GB drive with usb3 as minimum. Is this correct? Is there anyway I can get this camera to work with my old i3 laptop? I just want to use it for planetary imaging.
Thanks in advance for any help. PS I see where others use ASCOM also with other programs but I cannot get ASCOM platform or driver to load even with directions regarding allowing ASCOM to be set up on Windows 10 and with the exclusion to Windows Security.
