MaxIM v6 - ASCOM Driver v1.0.1.6 not working

I tried PhD Guiding v2.5 with the same results. PhD at least told me there was a camera timeout issue when it couldn't get a star from the ASCOM driver (>v1.0.1.2).

I went through my downloads folder and found a camera driver from December last year v2.3....something and ASCOM driver v1.0.0.8 and PhD v2.5 worked with this! At least it downloads a star field. So did MaxIM for the limited time I had to test it. Unfortunately this driver throws split images from time to time (or swaps halves of frames vertically) throwing guiding into a mess...

So something must have changed from v1.0.0.8 (or v1.0.1.2) - camera timeouts? - that don't allow either MaxIM or PHD v2.5 to work properly.

Any ideas?

Will do Sam. What changes in this one if you can disclose?

Do I also need to update my camera driver to the latest version? Remember I had to downgrade to v2.3 to get the previous ASCOM driver to work.

no, the driver don't need to update

we used single frame mode in our ASI driver

but seems video mode is better for our USB2.0 cameras

so we changed back in this version

Bench tested remotely from work. Unfortunately ASCOM driver v1.0.1.9 does not solve the issue.

Some screenshots from PhD Guiding v2.5:

Setup with v1.0.0.8:

And I'd happily stay with the older driver if it was not for the split screens:

Which are a killer when guiding as the guide star jumps to another quadrant and the comes back...
