New asi120mm - Does this look used to you?

Hi everyone, I'm excited to join in and say I just got a new ASI120MM delivered..

Small potential problem I though... I unscrewed off the wide cs lens and see that the 'protect window' glass over the chip has a mark on it.. I suspect it's lubricant, and I start to notice my fingers are getting sticky. I then unscrewed the ring around the cs lens and sure enough, it's threads are heavily lubricated.

It looks like it was a messy lube job, and the rear of the cs lens had lubricant on it and marked the screen when it was screwed in (too far?.. is it really mean to touch the glass?) before boxing:

Also, the threaded black plug was so firmly screwed in it had a couple of tiny contact marks on the red case after I took it off (with much effort!).

My question is - Is this normal for a brand new one? The small scratches on the plug add to my concern. Should I suspect that this was a mistreated used one that I'm getting?

I think this is a new one

the mark is because of the lens which can screw too deep to touch the protect window

so you should be careful to adjust focus

you can clean the mark by youself. we can send a new protect window if you cannot clean it

we used a new lens which won't touch the window forever in our newest design
