There are many such artifacts, you just found one of them. The SkyAtlas app is very limited in both appearance and functionality, compared with say Stellarium. I only use SkyAtlas for its GoTo function, otherwise I do everything in Stellarium. Stellarium even has a function to control a telescope, but ZWO does not support that, if they did there would be no need for SkyAtlas at all.
