ASI120MC v1.3 - Where is the UV/IR-cut filter?

Hello,

I've recently purchased a used ASI120MC.

Probably it is the first model without a ST4 port.

This model has a "black sponge" around the CMOS sensor instead of the protective glass (IR-Cut Filter) present in the new version. On the related electronic PCB is written "v1.3"".

What seems strange is that there was no IR filter inside the box kit

I ask the owners of this camera version, the IR filter is (was) generally included in the camera kit or must be purchased separately?

Which model do you recommend to buy?

1.25" low profile IR/UV CUT ASI Camera Protect window (note that there is a black sponge already glued to its place!)

Can I install (screw) it directly over the black sponge (pressing it a little) or I have to remove the black sponge ?

you need to remove it at first

then use the one come with filter
