Hey all. Relatively new to the hobby still. I had been using a Sky Watcher eqm35 mount and asiair plus without issue until last night.
When performing PA and plate solving, my system unfortunately decided I am in the wrong hemisphere. The system was telling me to increase my declination to where my scope would be pointing into the ground.
A small red bar in the bottom right corner of my home screen had always correctly said 'South' during my prior sessions, and has now disappeared.
My GPS coordinates were accurate. Beautiful, clear sky. I turned things off and on, reset the asiair, reinstalled the firmware etc.
The only change, that I'm convinced affected this was - i disconnected the wifi dongle from my mount (while the mount was off). I had been using an eq-mod USB cable since the beginning, I had just always forgotten to remove the dongle. Rationally, I don't see how that would result in this error, however that is the only change I've made. Also, after this disconnect, my mounts time was 1 hour off, and I began to receive the DST time pop-up issue. I couldn't correct this either after multiple PA attempts, and 'sync to mount' commands.
Google searches isn't revealing an obvious fix for this issue. Can anyone save me?
Tyvm🙏
