I recently got this camera and I am trying to capture 16 bit image on a Macbook. It is not working. 8bit images seem to be getting captured. Do I have to update the firmware on the camera.
Any help would be great.

SER, TIFF, FITS should provide > 8 bit data format (can't say about oaCapture, but it's in FireCapture). Note that the camera has 12 bit ADC so it will be up to 12 bit of data in those file format.
no firmware need to update on Mac
you can try to turn down"USB Traffic" and try again
our USB2.0 cameras didnot support Mac well
