Right now the SkyAtlas shows the sky based upon the current time in both the preview and plan mode. It would be extremely helpful if a time setting would be added to the settings in the sky atlas settings options. This would allow users to verify based upon their location if the target was visible. With the available coordinate display a user could easily determine if the target was at an azimuth and altitude that would be visible from their shooting location.
