So, let's see if I understand.
1.) If you install the short nosepiece /camera housing adapter (the one that only takes 12.5mm of backfocus) there is no way to mount an internal AR window/filter.
2.) If you want an AR window/filter you can purchase one from ZWO and install it into a 1.25" eyepiece adapter.
However, option 2 seems to be pretty useless since the reason you want to use the short nosepiece/camera housing is to reduce the spacing between the camera sensor and the optics (filters, reducer, field flatterer, OAG, etc.). That means you most likely won't be using a 1.25" eyepiece adapter.
Perhaps I've been misunderstood, what I want is to reduce the camera housing spacing on the ASI174MM from the current 17.5mm to 12.5mm as is found on many other of the ZWO cameras. I thought I had read on your user forums that it was possible to change the camera housing so that the internal spacing on the camera was only 12.5mm. Maybe that's not possible.
