I place my SeeStar on my small balcony, next to a wall, so sometimes I'm not sure if an object is visible or not in the list that SeeStar displays. It can be wonderful to also indicate the azimuth, as in ASIAir. Thank you.
diegorodriguez To plan my observations I use Stellarium for Windows, which is free. I took 360 degree panoramic shots from the spots where I usually place the S50 and I can tell whether a particular target is visible or not at a certain time and date. I only use SkyAtlas for the GoTo function (and now the planning feature), otherwise I use Stellarium for everything else.
diegorodriguez Just want to chime in and say I very much want this as well. If it's in the list of best targets then we already know it's above the horizon. Knowing what direction it is would save a ton of time. When I shoot from my front yard, I can only image about 1/4 of the sky.
Поддерживаю, было бы очень полезно, когда у дома, а не в поле!
I understand your request.
Yes, I do also use Stellarium for coarse planning but, if you know ASIAir, I just love the way it shows the list of objects with graphical elevation and azimut indications for quick targeting.
Daemon42 We listed the rough azimuth in the details. we will consider whether add this in the list.
Tech@ZWO Yes, the whole point is to avoid having to open the details of every single target in the list to find out which ones are in a direction we can see now.
